I've certainly had more than a few instances where upon death, I've simply had to run back to the monsters I was fighting before, without having to re-kill any enemies.ĭoes that mean that this is unintended? It would certainly explain one of my biggest problems with the game thus far, that being that deaths seem to have no real consequence (although I wouldn't mind a bit more consequence than that, personally).A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. ![]() The monsters that were dead before remain dead after the player resurrects, and I don't think the in-progress challenges revert either, though that one I could be mistaken about. The second paragraph here seems to imply that monsters and challenge progress should be reset when the player dies, but death doesn't actually seem to reset either of these. Your challenge progress will roll back to the moment you interacted with the checkpoint and all creatures that were alive at the time will respawn. ![]() If you die, you will respawn at the last checkpoint you interacted with. The checkpoints are temporary saves, which exist while you're on the map. ![]() It's because in Victor Vran you restart the maps whenever you go to the Hub. The one thing that is not saved are the state of the monsters and the challenge progress.
